Questions and Answers How is this different from "Meals in Minutes"? With the Personal Chef service, you are in total control of both the menu and the ingredients used. By doing a one-on-one food interview with you we can ensure that the menu contains only those meals and ingredients that are suitable for you.
Don't most Personal chefs cook in the client's home? Many Personal Chefs do cook in their clients' homes (in fact, Gord used to). By doing this in our own commercial kitchen there are several advantages, however, not the least of which is that we don't take over your kitchen for a whole day - which means you don't have to worry about ensuring the kitchen is cleared out of people, dishes, pet debris (animals are NEVER allowed in our kitchen so pet hair & dander isn't a problem).
The prices are somewhat higher than "Meals in Minutes". Why? Meals in Minutes prices are based on preparing many more servings of a set number of meals, based on a menu that is designed for a certain efficiency. The Personal Chef service is solely dedicated to providing for a client's individual needs and prices reflect the change in the volume and efficiency landscape.
How do I pay you? We try and keep it as simple as possible - you can either leave a Mastercard or Visa number on file, or have a cheque ready when the meals are delivered to your house.
Do I need to be home when you deliver? Not necessarily - as long as someone is home to let us in to store your meals in your refrigerator or freezer, you don't need to be there. Alternatively, we can arrange for you to provide a key (and alarm codes where necessary) and meals can be delivered and stored in your absence.
